Job Description
Title: Java / Microservices Developer
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Type: Full-time | On-site
Mandatory: Need Chinese Speakers for this role
Key Responsibilities:
Develop scalable backend systems using Java (8/11), Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs. Design and implement microservices, API gateways, and event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ. Work with systems in policy, claims, underwriting, and billing within finance or insurance environments. Integrate payment and verification systems -- FPX, DuitNow, e-KYC, AML/CTF. Handle SQL & NoSQL databases and support IFRS17/e-Invoicing data flows. Deploy and manage solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring tools. Ensure systems meet BNM RMiT and PDPA compliance requirements with strong encryption and logging practices.
Requirements:
5-8 years of experience in backend development using Java (Spring Boot/Cloud). Strong background in microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ, SQL/NoSQL, and Docker/Kubernetes. Understanding of financial or insurance system integrations. Familiarity with DevOps, compliance, and secure application design.
