Responsible for the assembly, inspection, re-work and modification on various assemblies while maintaining a high level of quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
Brings to the attention of management, problems which affect the production / quality of the area for which responsible.
Completes all assignments in a timely manner and procedures are followed.
Meets production schedules on delivery requirements.
Works with hands and hand tools in piecing together sheetmetal/machining parts and other miscellaneous parts.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory status and all parts are clearly labeled as to part number quantity and work order.
Ensures all parts are available before starting a specific job by checking the part sheets.
Uses Allen wrenches, crimping tools, clamping tools, rivet guns, hand drills, screwdrivers, Exacto knives, torque wrenches, wire strippers, adhesives, and hand tools to cut, form and bond parts dependent on the job at hand.
Works with supervision, blueprints and router sheets.
Package all completed assemblies.
REQUIREMENTS:
SPM and above
Able to distinguish the difference between acceptable and non-acceptable parts.
Must be able to interpret customer drawings, bill of materials and workmanship specifications under supervision.
Follow instructions.
Prior experience using hand tools to assemble electro-mechanical assemblies.
Inspection, sheetmetal assembly, packaging and inventory control experience a plus.
