Junior Civil / Structural Engineer - Job Requirements

1. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in

Civil Engineering

or

Structural Engineering

from a recognized institution.

0-3 years

of working experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

2. Technical Skills & Competencies

Basic understanding of civil and structural engineering principles. Familiarity with engineering software is preferred (training will be provided): AutoCAD ETABS / STAAD / Tekla Structural Designer Revit or Civil 3D (advantage) Ability to prepare engineering drawings, simple design calculations, and technical documentation. Basic knowledge of local standards and codes (Eurocodes, MS, BS, UBBL) is an advantage. Willingness to learn structural behavior, design procedures, and construction methodologies. Strong analytical thinking and interest in problem-solving.

3. Key Responsibilities

Assist in structural and civil design tasks under supervision of senior engineers. Prepare drawings, calculations, models, and reports for project deliverables. Support coordination with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors. Attend design meetings and take technical notes. Conduct site visits with senior engineers. Perform drafting, modelling, documentation, and revision work as required.

5. Optional / Additional (Good to Have)

Internship experience in consulting, construction, or related engineering fields. Exposure to BIM workflows (Revit, BIM360, Navisworks). Familiarity with structural detailing (RC and steel). Interest in long-term growth toward design, project coordination, or site supervision roles.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
