About the Role:

As a Junior Industrial Designer, you will work closely with the R&D teams to support the creation of innovative, user-focused products. This role is a hands-on learning opportunity, where you will contribute to concept development, CAD modeling, prototyping, and design documentation. You will assist in research and visualisation tasks, while gradually building technical knowledge in DFM (Design for Manufacturing), materials, and CMF (Colour, Material, Finish). The position is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to develop strong foundations in industrial design.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the design team in concept development, CAD modeling, sketching, and visualisation. Assist with design documentation, CMF boards, and rendering preparation. Participate in product research, trend tracking, and competitive analysis. Collaborate with engineers and marketing teams on minor tasks under guidance. Learn and apply fundamentals of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and materials. Build prototypes with supervision; assist in testing and iterative improvement. Receive and implement feedback from team discussion. Manage timelines, priorities, and quality across multiple concurrent projects. Liaise directly with contract manufacturers on CMF (colour, material, finish) and tooling. Collaborate closely with creative, marketing, procurement and engineering teams.

Key Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360). Basic knowledge of rendering and visualisation tools (e.g., KeyShot, V-Ray, Blender). Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Understanding of design principles, ergonomics, and form development. Basic hands-on prototyping and model-making ability. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to take direction, implement feedback, and manage multiple priorities. Good communication skills and team collaboration. Internship or 0-2 years of relevant design experience preferred.
