-IT Security Engineer

This position will be responsible for providing comprehensive cybersecurity services to our clients, ensuring the security and integrity of their IT infrastructure and data. The role will require a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Respond to Client Service Requests:

Promptly attend to IT-related service requests from both local and outstation clients, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive image.

2.Task Ownership and Investigation:

Take ownership of assigned tasks, conducting thorough research and investigation as needed to ensure successful completion.

3.Real-Time Task Management:

Maintain accurate and real-time updates on daily tasks in the company's ticketing system (SSMS).

4.Technical Skill Development:

Continuously learn and share new technical skills to enhance your ability to service, promote, and sell the company's services.

5. Weekday & Weekend Rotation:

Adhere to the weekday and weekend rotation and standby schedules independently.

6. Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with corporate IT and external vendors to resolve technical support issues related to infrastructure, networks, security appliances, servers, email, systems, and various hardware appliances.

7.Backup and Remediation:

Ensure the successful execution of daily and weekly backups. Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities to improve system security.

8.System Monitoring and Alerting:

Monitor end-of-day scheduled jobs, event logs, and alert alarms on servers and networks to minimize disruptions and impact.

9.Network and Infrastructure Administration:

Configure, administer, and maintain IT network and infrastructure equipment, including PCs, mobile devices, servers, printers, SAN storage, email, firewalls, switches, routers, and backup systems.

10.Hands-On Operations:

Perform hands-on operations for Active Directory (AD), DNS, firewalls (especially Fortinet and Sophos), managed switches, VLANs, routers, access points, file servers, printers, conferencing systems, email, antivirus, endpoint security, email security, Microsoft 365, and tenant-to-tenant migrations.

11.Security Operations Center (SOC) Involvement:

Participate in SOC tasks and job responsibilities as assigned.

12.Technical Documentation and Training:

Update technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed. Actively participate in online training programs provided by the company, obtain relevant certifications, and strive to become a subject matter expert in cybersecurity.

13. Security Design and Implementation:

Provide expert advice in designing and implementing IT security controls and risk mitigation strategies.

14. Cybersecurity Marketing and Content Creation:

Contribute to the company's marketing efforts by creating and delivering engaging content related to cybersecurity. This includes, but is not limited to:

Developing marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and website content.

Creating and managing social media content (e.g., TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).

Participating in online and offline events to promote the company's cybersecurity services.

Conducting live streams and webinars to educate potential clients about cybersecurity threats and solutions.

Collaborating and implementing marketing campaigns.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Outstation Travel:

Be prepared to travel to client locations as needed.

2. Responsive Communication:

Respond promptly to customer and team member communications via WhatsApp, SSMS and email.

3.Time Management:

Exhibit good time management skills, arriving at client locations on time.

4. New Technology Implementation:

Test, recommend, implement, and manage new technologies and security controls for systems, networks, and applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM2,200.00 per month
