About the role
A Junior PPA Manager will be part of BayWa r.e. Energy Solutions, APAC team. This role will work closely within the PPA Team to support our corporate customers in the negotiation process of long-term power purchase agreements for both on-site and off-site solutions, including responsible for updating & assessing the regulatory framework for PPAs in our respective targeted countries, developing applicable PPA structures (models), and coordinating all related internal and external processes, including with customers and related stakeholders.

The location for this role is flexible with a preference for one of offices in Malaysia, Thailand or Vietnam.

What You Will Do

• Support the PPA Team and Key Account Managers in negotiating and closing bankable PPAs for on-site and off-site energy solutions
• Co-ordinate and review indicative PPA terms and conditions for the PPA proposals with off-takers
• Structure the SPV engagement process and track deliverables according to the terms of the PPA, post contract execution (CPs)
• From time to time, assess and update the regulatory framework for PPAs in the relevant country, and develop applicable PPA structures, including assessment of current country-specific market prices and long-term price curve forecasts
• Participate & support project teams (wind and solar) for the typically the sole PPA responsibility for the country/market.
• Cooperate closely with the sales team and support the customer origination and selection process (off-site and on site)
• Provide in-house knowhow transfer on PPA basics, structures, and market developments, and design alternative offtake structures and concepts.

What You Bring

• Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Laws, Finance, Engineering, Energy, or related fields
• Experience in energy solutions and renewable energy projects, and an understanding of Power Purchase Agreements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
