Job Description

A proactive and intellectually curious Junior Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at managing multiple priorities. You will be the bridge between business problems and technology solutions, working under the guidance of senior architects to design, document, and support the implementation of scalable, robust, and well-integrated solutions. Success in this role requires a passion for continuous learning to master new technologies and articulate their value proposition, with a keen focus on how systems connect and communicate. You must be adaptable and prepared to step in and support critical projects during periods of urgency or high demand.

Key Responsibilities

Proactive Solution Design & Support:

o Take initiative to assist senior architects in analyzing client requirements and co-creating technical solution designs with a strong emphasis on integration architecture.

o Design and document API-led integration strategies, data flow diagrams, and process mappings to connect disparate systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.

o Autonomously create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and design documents that clearly articulate integration points.

o Proactively research and evaluate emerging technologies and integration platforms, building proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to validate their fit for client challenges.

o Continuously self-study new solutions, platforms, and integration patterns to expand the team's toolkit and value proposition.

o Step up to own or represent architectural components on projects when required, ensuring continuity and momentum during urgent situations.

Dynamic Technical Collaboration:

o Effectively multi-task and context-switch while working closely with development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of integration solutions.

o Support the delivery team by independently clarifying design intent, especially regarding APIs, data transformation, and middleware, to resolve technical queries.

o Learn and advocate for best practices in cloud architecture, security, scalability, and seamless system integration.

Engaged Client & Stakeholder Interaction:

o Actively participate in client meetings, asking insightful questions to uncover deep-rooted business needs and integration challenges.

o Assist in presenting technical concepts, integration strategies, and their business value to non-technical audiences in a clear, compelling manner.

o Manage multiple workstreams by contributing to the creation of proposals and statements of work (SOWs) for various concurrent opportunities.

o Provide vital support and maintain client communication to ensure project stability when stepping in for other team members at short notice.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

1-3 years of experience in a technical role such as Software Developer, Systems Analyst, DevOps Engineer, or a related position, with hands-on integration experience.

A proactive mindset with a demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and learn new technologies through self-directed study.

Practical experience with integration concepts and tools, such as:

o RESTful and SOAP APIs, GraphQL

o Data formats (JSON, XML) and transformation

o Enterprise Service Buses (ESB), iPaaS platforms, or middleware

o Authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, SAML) for secure integration

Resilience and adaptability, with the capability to get up to speed quickly and contribute effectively to projects during urgent or high-pressure situations.

Solid understanding of fundamental IT concepts:

o Cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their core integration services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Logic Apps, API Gateway).

o Application development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and architectural patterns.

o Basic networking, security, and identity management principles.
