About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at St. Giles Southkey Johor Bahru. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in the smooth operation of our renowned kitchen, supporting the Executive Sous Chef in the preparation and delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. What you'll be doing

Assisting the Executive Sous Chef in the day-to-day management and organisation of the kitchen and its team Preparing and cooking a wide variety of high-quality dishes to our exacting standards Monitoring food preparation, portion control and presentation to ensure consistently excellent quality Collaborating with the culinary team to develop new and innovative menu items Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the kitchen team Ensuring full compliance with all relevant health, safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Junior Sous Chef or in a similar senior culinary role Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety and kitchen operations Excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving skills Passion for creating innovative and visually appealing dishes Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a close-knit team Tertiary qualification in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
