Nourish your soul, body and mind with an invigorating spa treatment at our SUASANA Spa.The RoleAs the Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for contributing to menu creation, managing and training the culinary team to deliver a memorable experience for our guest and associate. A Junior Sous Chef will also be required to manage food cost control. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Contribute to menu creation
  • Manage and train the culinary team effectively to ensure a well-organised and motivated team
  • Ensure consistency in quality of foods at all times
  • Manage guest relations when necessary, in the absence of the Chef De Cuisine/Sous Chef
  • Ensure that the resources meet business needs through the effective management of working rotation
  • Support brand standards through the training and assessment of team members
  • Manage food cost control to contribute to the overall Food and Beverage profit
  • Knowledge of activities in other departments and implications
  • Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards
Talent Profile
  • Preferably with strong Chef de Partie or previous Junior Sous Chef experiences
  • Approaches food in a creative way
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Committed to delivering a high level of guest experience
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings
