Job Description

1. To implement the technical maintenances regime for production systems, machinery and auxiliaries as to ensure optimum performance in commercial and newspapers printing. i. To support in ensuring that all machinery and processes within the plant complies with the local authorities and government (DOSH, DOE and BOMBA). ii. To assist in managing the maintenances involved for all machinery, systems and auxiliaries inside the plant to achieve zero breakdowns. iii. To support in ensuring that the machines, equipment and auxiliaries used for the printing processes has sufficient spares as to maintain its operability. iv. To assist in planning and scheduling the training program for the technical staff for new procedures/new machines and also retraining for any technical maintenance procedures. v. Involve/ initiate an innovative/ improvement initiative. 2. To support and be alert all the time throughout the year to immediately assists during machines breakdown in terms of manpower, expertise and spares. This requires the jobholder to develop the necessary knowledge of the machine and processes involved in the Production Department. 3. Dimension of impact / Quantitative data: i. Monthly machine downtime for all machine should not exceed targeted percentage (by minimizing equipment breakdown and lesser operating interruptions ) ii. Monthly Preventive Maintenance for all machine should exceed targeted percentage (by ensuring PMS program are followed accordingly)

Subsequently, in the same year, through Ultimate Print and Dasar Cetak, the group\xe2\x80\x99s foray into the commercial printing business started 2006 - Growth and success tryst within the group. Like all success stories, leadership and vision to see beyond played pivotal role in the group. The need for a newspaper that is both neutral and independent in its reporting amidst a curtailed media landscape saw the birth of Sinar Harian in 2006 \xe2\x80\x93 the first state customized national newspaper. With a 38% growth in readership in 2012, Sinar Harian is the fastest growing newspaper in the country. 2018 - Now with Alaf 21 being the number one publisher of novels and Ultimate Print the largest commercial printer, 13 magazine titles, a book division, and with the addition of Sinar Harian, Karangkraf stands tall in the world of publishing in the country.
