Job Description


The Key Account Specialist will primarily cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts. The incumbent will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic plans to achieve the sales targets and revenue growth. Additionally, there is a need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and services to key accounts while providing exceptional customer support.

  • Proficient in nurturing positive business relationships with key account customers while acquiring valuable market insights.
  • Familiarity with customer profiles and classifications in the assigned area to develop a daily call plan, encompassing Selling Objective Settings, Persuasive Selling Skills (PSS) Presentation preparation, and Sales Equipment preparation.
  • Mastery of the Sales Force.com (SFDC) tool to furnish selling objectives, inventory status, and sell-through reports for outlets within your territory.
  • Capable of effectively executing Sales and Marketing quarterly promotional objectives, incorporating PSS presentations.
  • Skilled in securing and managing merchandising space for product advertisements using Sales & Marketing Point of Sale Materials (POSMs) in designated outlets.
  • Able to maintain or enhance customer share of spend in accordance with sell-through trends in the territory.
  • Proficient understanding of business sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Credit Terms administrative processes to provide operational support to customers.
  • Prompt reporting of any adverse events or product complaints related to products to GSV-AP and the local complaint administrator.
  • Willingness to handle other ad-hoc arrangements as and when needed.

  • Study background: Bachelor\'s degree or professional qualification, preferably with major in Life Science or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 year\'s experience in sales in related area in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry; experience in ophthalmology or vision care would be an advantage
  • Have fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong Key Account management with high motivation to drive sales in a fast paced environment
  • Outstanding strategic planning with the ability to develop actionable solutions and recommend sales strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Flexible in travelling
