Job Description

SCOPE

The Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a program for young children. It includes developing and delivering interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children. They must ensure the development and safety of these children in accordance with relevant federal, territorial and legislation and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and deliver daily lessons and activities aligned with early childhood education standards. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and respect. Teach basic skills such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and problem-solving. Incorporate play-based learning, storytelling, arts, music, and physical activities into lessons. Observe and assess students' progress; provide regular feedback to parents/guardians. Maintain accurate student records including attendance, developmental milestones, and progress reports. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student needs, progress, and concerns. Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and adherence to school policies. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall school program. Participate in training, workshops, and school events as required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification. Valid teaching license/certification (where required). Prior experience in teaching or working with young children is preferred. Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills. Creative, energetic, and passionate about working with children. Ability to adapt lessons to diverse learning needs and styles. Basic first aid knowledge is an advantage.
