Job Description

  • At least 3-4 years in managing kitchen, inventory, and stock control and able to follow and understand SOP in the kitchen.
  • You will be the leader in the kitchen, and control all safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen, tools, and equipment.
  • Leadership skills in managing staff and segregation of work in the Kitchen area.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible to set kitchen par stock level and ordering food supplies from the Central Kitchen and Vendors. Must use Food Market Hub for ordering/purchasing purposes.
  • To be responsible for the preparation of cooked food according to the quality, presentation, and standard operating procedure
  • Must be familiar with ingredients for cooking, knowledge of portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Ensure that the team follows food safety processes when cleaning and washing raw materials
  • Responsible for inventory checking and recording of raw materials and cooked food
  • Responsible for receiving and checking the quality of raw materials obtained from suppliers and that the quantities and prices received are in accordance with the invoices
  • Responsible for training new kitchen team members in accordance with the company's standard operating procedure
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area including tables, tools, and equipment, and also the restaurant premises
  • Responsible for tracking and updating the equipment maintenance log. To inform Management when IT is due for service/repairs
  • Responsible to organize and set the kitchen team's duty roster and respective roles
  • Track and report wastages to the Management team
  • Ensure that the kitchen team follows all company policies and procedures
  • Report any potential Safety Hazard(s) to your Supervisor
  • Perform any other task required by your Supervisor, as and when required
