Kitchen Crew (Cooking) - Job Requirements
Experience & Skills
Minimum 1 year of experience in a cafe or restaurant kitchen
Confident in preparing pasta, brunch dishes, sides, and other basic hot kitchen items
Able to follow recipes accurately, maintain portion control, and ensure consistent food quality
Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new menu items, techniques, and kitchen systems
Possesses basic knife skills and understands proper handling of kitchen tools and equipment
Attitude & Teamwork
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Maintains a positive and respectful attitude toward colleagues and management
Works efficiently under pressure, especially during busy or high-volume service
Practices good personal hygiene and contributes to a clean, organized, and team-oriented kitchen environment
Communication
Able to understand basic instructions in Malay and/or English
Can read and interpret kitchen tickets, prep lists, recipes, and station guidelines
Hygiene & Certification
Valid Food Handling Certificate is required
Typhoid vaccination is preferred
Consistently practices proper kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures
Physical Fitness
Able to stand for long periods
Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, carrying, and food prep
Availability
Willing to work long hours, rotating shifts, or split shifts
Typical shift: 11:30 AM - 11:30 PM (2-hour break)
Available to work on weekends and public holidays
Entitled to 1 scheduled day off per week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
