To support daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking according to SOP, ensuring food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting in smooth service during operating hours.
Key Responsibilities
A. Food Preparation
Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, and toppings according to SOP.
Ensure correct portioning for every bowl/wrap/pita/taco.
Follow strict FIFO and labelling guidelines.
Assist with marination, slicing, reheating, and assembly prep.
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
B. Cooking & Assembly
Operate kitchen equipment (combi oven, fast oven, fryer, rice cooker, chiller, warmer) safely and correctly.
Cook all menu items following heating/cooking SOP and visual standards.
Assemble bowls, wraps, pitas, tacos accurately based on the menu.
Ensure speed during peak hours without compromising quality.
C. Hygiene & Safety
Maintain cleanliness of all workstations at all times.
Follow food safety rules: no thawing at room temperature, proper glove use, handwashing, hairnet, and no jewellery.
Ensure raw and cooked items are handled separately.
Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitisation guidelines.
D. Inventory & Stock Management
Conduct opening and closing stock checks with supervisor.
Ensure proteins, veggies, and sauces are adequately stocked before service.
Report low stock levels immediately to the outlet manager.
Properly store all items in chillers/freezers with correct labels and dates.
E. Equipment Handling
Clean, maintain, and properly shut down kitchen equipment at the end of day.
Report any equipment issues or breakdowns immediately.
Ensure safe handling of hot items and sharp tools.
F. Teamwork & Service Support
Work closely with front counter crew to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in peak hour support, packing orders, and ensuring fast service.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and cooperative attitude with the team.
3. Requirements
Basic understanding of food hygiene practices.
Able to work in a fast-paced F&B environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
Experience in kitchen operations is an advantage (training provided)
