About the job
You will work together with your colleagues in the IKEA Food management team; lead and manage the kitchen production team to fulfil the purpose of our function by building business and people together. You strive to make people smile while providing irresistible food offers in a welcoming atmosphere that gives our guests a good reason to return again and again.

Your Assignment

  • You take ownership for ensuring food safety in all parts of the store and train others as appropriate.
  • You lead and manage co-workers so that we provide irresistible food offers of good taste and quality served in a safe and efficient way.
  • You are responsible to develop strategy and operational competent.
  • You ensure the daily operational routines and actions set out for the area are implemented.
  • You will also ensure that the IKEA Quality and Food Safety Policies and routines are followed.
  • You will create a "safety first" culture where co-workers are encouraged to raise and discuss concerns and solutions.
  • You will ensure there is the right number of co-workers in the right place at the right time to run the area successfully.
  • You will support and coach the colleagues on the job so they can meet the needs of our customers and grow professionally.
  • You will lead by example and am a good ambassador for the IKEA store in all contact with our customers.
  • You will have a daily dialogue with our customers to get continuous feedback about their experiences and to learn more about their needs and wants and then take action based on their input.
  • You will strengthen the low-price profile, quality perception of IKEA and building trust among customers, co-workers and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • You have culinary experience working in kitchen environment within hotel or F&B industry with proven leadership abilities and commercial insight in ensuring effective cost and resource management.
  • You have a deep passion for food.
  • You have experience and exposure in stock forecasting and planning.
  • You possess decision-making and problem-solving abilities with the drive to make things happen.
  • You are people and service-oriented, who able to support the retail peak periods of the store while still maintaining your excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with both internal and external customers.
