Job Description


[Position]Japanese Speaking Senior Manager, Accounting[Responsibilities]Monthly/quarterly/yearly Corp deadlines. Drive compliance of EW finance policies and internal controls. This includes US GAAP, SOX compliance and support of annual statutory audit and tax filings.Ensure the execution of Record-to-Report (RTR) functionProvide technical accounting support or clarification of EW finance policies to other internal stakeholders or functions.Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of changes to driveProvide coaching, people management and leadership to finance teams\Other incidental duties[Requirements]Bachelor's Degree in in Accounting or Finance, 10 years' experience of previous work related experience requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese (Japanese N1/N2 level preferred)Proven successful people management and leadership skillProven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., QlikView), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectivesExpert understanding of accounting and financial processes and curiosity to look beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problemsExtensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)Demonstrated ability to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relationsTransparent leader with a high level of integrity and track record of building trust-based relationships internally and externallyAbility to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organizationAbility to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environmentManage, including through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffingDevelop peer, cross functional and cross business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.Develop relationships and leverage them to influence changeSupport and solicit input from team members at all levels within the organizationAdhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control[Location]Kuala Lumpur
