Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage the design principles and schemes, and the review of compliance with the requirement of the contract and standard specifications.

Guide design work and solve technical problems in design.

Review and prepare design standardization documents.

Familiar with hardware components of the control system such as PLC and DCS.

Responsible for the selection and design of Instruments

Review & responsible for the design of Instrument drawings.

Familiar with common material for instruments and E&I industry standards.

Responsible for the design and submitted construction documents for Instrumentation

Involved in Instruments selection, the relevant calculations, etc.

To support fabrication team by advising & supervise on the instrument installation.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and other team members on design best practices and technical challenges.

Review 3D, red mark-up, as-built drawing, design clash determination.

Lead the preparation of Material Take-Off (MTO), cost estimates, and assist in project bidding and estimation processes.

Develop and review Material Take-Off (MTO) and specifications for procurement purposes.

Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and provide updates to clients, project managers, and stakeholders.

To perform any other related duties that may be assigned by your immediate superior/management from time to time.

Job Specification

Education Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering or a closely related field is essential.

Years of relevant working experience

6 to 8 years of relevant working experience in instrumentation and control system design, field installation, testing, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Relevant skills and knowledge

Expertise in instrumentation, international standards (IEC, NEC, ISA), and strong skills in technical leadership, multi-discipline coordination, problem-solving, and project execution from design to installation.

Personality Quality

Possess strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication, adaptability, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while ensuring safety, quality, and project success.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
