Role: L1 / L2 / L3 / L4 (Junior Testers to Test Managers)
Role Overview
We are seeking skilled
Manual Testers
with strong experience in the
Banking & Financial Services domain
to join our QA team in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves functional testing of banking applications, ensuring quality delivery, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities (Generic Across Levels)
Understand functional and business requirements in the
Banking / Financial Services
domain.
Prepare test cases, test data, and execute
manual testing
across different banking applications (Retail, Corporate, Internet/Mobile Banking, Payments, Loans, Cards, etc.).
Perform
functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
.
Log, track, and validate defects in coordination with development teams.
Ensure compliance with
banking standards, regulations, and security policies
.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and project managers.
(manual test cases, test execution, defect logging).
Exposure to
banking applications
(academic projects, internship, or junior-level work experience).
Ability to follow test plans and document results.
Good communication and willingness to learn banking processes.
L2 - Manual Tester (2-5 years)
Hands-on experience in
manual testing
for
banking applications
.
Knowledge of
payments, accounts, loans, or digital banking platforms
.
Ability to design, review, and execute test cases independently.
Familiarity with
defect management tools
(JIRA, HP ALM, Bugzilla, etc.).
Exposure to
regression testing and SIT/UAT support
.
L3 - Senior Manual Tester / Test Lead (5-8 years)
Strong domain knowledge in
retail/corporate banking, cards, payments, or regulatory compliance
.
Ability to
lead small testing teams
, assign tasks, and review deliverables.
Skilled in
test strategy, test planning, and stakeholder communication
.
Experience in handling
end-to-end test cycles
including SIT, UAT, and production verification.
Good exposure to
risk management and quality assurance practices
.
L4 - Test Manager / QA Lead (8+ years)
Proven experience in
leading large-scale testing projects
in the banking sector.
Strong understanding of
core banking systems, digital transformation, and regulatory requirements
.
Ability to manage
test strategy, estimation, resource planning, and governance
.
Experience in
stakeholder management
(business users, vendors, IT teams, regulators).
Exposure to
automation frameworks
is an added advantage (though role is manual-focused).
Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
ISTQB / CSTE / Banking domain certifications
preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
