Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Manage laboratory operations, including overseeing staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures, data, and inventory.
• Train and supervise laboratory personnel, including assigning tasks and evaluating performance.
• Ensure that laboratory staff adhere to ethical and safety standards in the conduct of experiments and in the handling of laboratory materials and equipment.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, and ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments or researchers to develop experimental protocols and optimize laboratory operations.
• Ensure that laboratory meets all regulatory compliance standards.
• Provide technical support for laboratory personnel and assist with experimental design and execution as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with new laboratory techniques, technologies, and research developments to ensure that laboratory operations are current and efficient.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in a scientific field, such as biology, chemistry, or biochemistry.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in laboratory management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of laboratory personnel.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory compliance standards, as well as experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with laboratory software.
