Key responsibilities

• Perform daily microbiology laboratory functions as required, including:
  • Maintain media and reagents as needed for daily microbiological testing.
  • Maintain/clean equipment i.e. autoclaves, incubators, water baths etc.
  • Perform regular, scheduled activities and quality control monitoring as required i.e. temperature recording, environmental monitoring etc.
  • Conduct non pathogen microbiology testing
  • Prepare samples for microbiology tests.
  • Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Collaborate and work effectively within cross functional team.
• Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Accomplish organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management
• Share information in an open, and timely manner.
• Assisting with managing priorities and schedule such that individual goals as well as team goals are achieved with encouraged participation in the Food Safety Team.
• Responsible for the safety of oneself and others working within their area.

Qualifications and skills

• High School or diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferably in science)
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Must have excellent attention to detail and be a team player
• Needs to be proactive, self-motivated, and interested to learn about the Food industry.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and easily adapt to changing situations
• Bilingual in English or BM
