Key responsibilities

  • Collect finished product samples according to the prescribed sampling plan.
  • Perform physical and chemical testing as per designated testing methods and frequencies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and investigating issues along the production line.
  • Verify foreign matter in adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Conduct ATP and protein swab tests for processing lines, contributing to cleaning verification.
  • Perform daily calibration of essential equipment in the physical laboratory.
  • Prepare chemical solutions as instructed for various processes.
  • Package and retain reference samples for every production run, ensuring detailed records are maintained.
  • Keep the retained samples room organized and clean at all times.
  • Ensure the execution of tests and inspection activities align with established procedures.
  • Implement and uphold HACCP, Quality Control, and Good Laboratory Practices, meticulously maintaining records and documentation.
  • Maintain records of relevant quality control check sheets, including data entry into log sheets and the SAP system.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to address issues, such as product concerns with production and line executives.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards in laboratories and other Quality Assurance (QA) areas, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and regulations.
  • Complete essential documentation for shifts, attendance, overtime, and other HR-related needs. Submit leave and overtime requests following proper procedures.
Qualifications and skills
  • Diploma in Food Technology / Nutrition / Dietetics, Food & Beverage Services Management, Engineering (Industrial), or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Alternative: SPM (science stream) with a minimum of 2 years\' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Malay.
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
