What\xe2\x80\x99s the role?

As Laboratory Technician you will cover the full Shell Malaysia Upstream COG PU consisting of SOV and NOV assets in Sarawak and Sabah.

You will also provide analytical and laboratory services, the main objective of this process is to ensure fit for purpose and laboratory services that define controls in mitigating business risks (HSSE, Asset-integrity, Finance, Asset performances).

• Support implementation of ISO standards i.e., ISO17025:2005; ISO14001 & ISO45001
• Provide support in equipment and instrument maintenance and custodianship.
• Carry out sampling and testing tasks at various company facilities.
• Address key standards and procedures.

What do we need from you?

As Laboratory Technician you will identify and actively embed CI initiatives with respect to chemical usage, optimization, and all production chemistry scope. You will continuously improve and enhance the work processes, tools, and models that have been developed and implemented to monitor and optimize the facility. You will also support the execution of the AMS process Ensure Quality Product (EQP).

• Minimum entry level for Laboratory Technician (new recruit) shall be STPM/Diploma or equivalent qualification, with credit in Chemistry and Mathematics at SPM level. SPM or equivalent qualification may be considered provided he/she has obtained good credits in Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Working experience in a laboratory environment is a plus
• Good written and verbal skills in English
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
