Job Overview:
A
Lab Calibration Technician
in theScientific Department
is responsible for calibrating, testing, and maintaining laboratory instruments and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with scientific and industry standards. They play a critical role in supporting research, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:
Perform
calibration, testing, and adjustment
of scientific instruments such as balances, spectrometers, thermometers, pipettes, and pressure sensors. Ensure all calibrations meetISO 17025
and other regulatory requirements. Documentcalibration results, certificates, and compliance records
accurately. Conducttroubleshooting and minor repairs
on lab equipment to maintain precision. Maintain calibration standards, ensuring traceability tonational and international metrology institutions (e.g., NIST, BIPM)
. Assist scientists, researchers, and quality teams by ensuring all instruments providereliable and accurate measurements
. Develop and followStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
for calibration and instrument maintenance. Ensure laboratory safety standards and environmental conditions are maintained for accurate calibration results.Requirements:
Degree/Diploma
inMetrology, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
. Experience inlaboratory calibration, quality control, or scientific instrumentation
. Knowledge ofmeasurement principles, calibration techniques, and laboratory equipment
. Familiarity withISO 17025 or other industry standards
. Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills
. Ability to work in acontrolled laboratory environment
with attention to precision and detail.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
