The Land Surveyor is responsible for performing all surveying and measurement work on-site to ensure construction works are carried out according to the approved drawings, dimensions, and alignment. This role involves preparing accurate survey data, verifying levels, and ensuring the project's structural and civil works are built within the specified tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:1. Surveying & Measurement
Conduct land, topographic, and site surveys before, during, and after construction.
Establish site control points, benchmarks, and reference levels.
Set out, mark, and verify alignment, elevation, and dimensions for structural and civil works (e.g., foundations, columns, roads, and drainage).
Carry out precise leveling and alignment for high-rise or infrastructure projects.
Perform as-built surveys and prepare as-built drawings for submission.
2. Data Management & Reporting
Record and maintain all survey data, field notes, and measurement reports.
Prepare detailed survey drawings, coordinate lists, and layout plans.
Verify subcontractor or consultant setting-out data to ensure accuracy.
Provide survey data to support progress claims and project documentation.
3. Equipment Handling & Calibration
Operate, maintain, and calibrate survey instruments such as total stations, GPS, levels, and laser equipment.
Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and properly stored.
4. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site supervisors to ensure accuracy of construction layout.
Liaise with consultants and authorities for verification and approval of site levels or boundaries.
Support the site team in resolving discrepancies between design drawings and actual site conditions.
5. Quality & Safety Compliance
Ensure surveying works comply with design specifications and construction standards.
Follow all site safety rules and procedures during surveying activities.
Requirements:
Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2-10 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in the construction industry.
Experience in high-rise, infrastructure, or mixed-development projects is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in using surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, Auto Level).
Skilled in AutoCAD and survey software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Able to work independently and manage field teams.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
