Requirements

• Possess a Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in landscaping and horticultural practices.
• Proficient in horticulture techniques, including planting, pruning, and plant care.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement landscaping plans.
• Experience in managing and maintaining irrigation systems.
• Knowledge of pest control methods and integrated pest management strategies.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with a team.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (both written and verbal).
• Ability to supervise and coordinate landscaping projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Familiarity with local plant species and their specific care requirements in the Sarawak region.
• Capability to troubleshoot landscaping issues and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and weeding, ensuring adherence to established horticultural practices.
• Implement and maintain irrigation systems, troubleshooting issues and ensuring efficient water usage to promote plant health and conserve resources.
• Oversee planting projects, ensuring proper plant selection, placement, and soil preparation according to landscaping designs and horticultural best practices.
• Monitor plant health and implement pest and disease control measures, utilizing integrated pest management techniques to minimize environmental impact.
• Coordinate and supervise a team of landscape workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure efficient and effective task completion.
• Inspect landscape areas regularly to identify maintenance needs, potential hazards, and opportunities for improvement, proactively addressing issues to maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Collaborate with landscape designers and other stakeholders to implement new landscape projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project timelines.
