Within the Operations Data Domain this role ensure data is delivered according to global, deployment, country requirements and timelines and responsible for data migration activities in a deployment (above-country) for Data objects in his/her scope. Acts as the Verticals/Functions SPoC for DM on the assigned objects for a given release.
Further the design and implementation of Data Governance processes and Data Operating Model for the Operations Domain in close collaboration with the Enterprise Data Owner (EDO) and team members for the Operations Domain.
This role will focus on establishing and developing the Novartis data capability in collaboration with the functions and lead the implementation within LDC scope.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Role is accountable for specific designated Operations Data area(s), and within such area(s)-Perform or ensure data cleansing tasks are completed on time,complete data collection for manual/construction objects on time, confirm value mappings prepared by DDMEs / BDMEs / SMEs, create and maintain master lists if applicable for assigned objects, provide business insights and information to technical teams for extraction and conversion from the legacy system(s) for assigned data objects, work together with DDME\'s/BDOs in order to identify objects in scope for the country
  • Provide business insights and information to technical teams for extraction and conversion from the legacy systems for assigned data objects, ensure data readiness and verify quality throughout data journey for assigned data objects, verify that the data is fit for purpose (including alignment with internal/external stakeholders)
  • Approve upload files before and after load for all assigned data objects (including formal DMW approval), perform manual (type-in) data loads into target clients where applicable for assigned objects, perform dual maintenance and provide DMWs for delta load on time, execution and approval of verification and defect confirmation steps on DVT scripts, act as SPoC for assigned objects as part of defect management process during Hyper-care
  • Complexity-Be part of a very highly complex program impacting all functions, business areas, countries and regions.
  • Identifying and managing the interdependencies across various functions, teams and programs of the relevant Operations Data entities as well as Operations attributes or impact of non Operations Data entities., ability to ensure alignment cross functions and consider dependencies between data set-up, system configuration, operational process design and reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Influence-Stakeholder management at country and regional level, very large and geographically broad scope; very high change impact.
  • Knowledge & Skills-Business acumen: very good understanding of various worldwide data models in respective business units and divisions, required capabilities and operational pain points. Curious and forward looking: looks for signals both inside and outside the company to identify new trends and future expectations. Digital savvy: very good grasp of the impacts and opportunities of data and technology will create to Novartis, Technical and process knowledge: knowledge and understanding of impact of data set-up and system configuration on operational processes and analytical capabilities.
Minimum requirements

WHAT YOU\'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
  • Master\'s university degree or higher, at least 5 years\' experience in country and global Operations roles
  • Experience working in data and with system configuration workstreams, in ERP / systems implementations and / or global business transformations, strong EXCEL skills, english as a must and additional language(s) preferred.
  • Being part of a very large program over 6+ years potentially in the magnitude of >500mUSD
  • Proven data, reporting, Operations process and compliance or analytics experience possibly in a matrix style within a large, complex data landscape, experience in data migration and data quality.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration skills with proven speaking, presentation and facilitation experience in internal and external environments, able to leverage networks of professionals across functions and business areas.
  • Understands the competing organizational needs beyond own part of business, strategic and hands on way of working (running meetings, tracking progress, managing issues), able to interpret complex information and to influence internal and external peers.
