Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Business Analyst to lead a comprehensive application landscape discovery initiative across our global operations. This role will work closely with senior business and IT leadership to identify, map, and analyze the business dependencies on a wide array of enterprise applications, with a strong focus on applications integrated with or dependent on SAP (with migration to SAP HANA in progress).

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving rationalization efforts, by uncovering opportunities to decommission outdated or redundant applications while ensuring minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Landscape Discovery: Collaborate with senior leaders across functions (Commercial, Operations, Finance, etc.) to identify business-critical applications. Develop a comprehensive mapping of applications, including upstream and downstream dependencies. Document business processes supported by each application. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and IT teams for application discovery. Present complex findings and recommendations clearly and independently to both commercial and IT leadership. Strategic Analysis and Rationalization: Evaluate the business implications of decommissioning certain applications. Provide alternatives and transition plans where applicable. Ensure alignment with broader IT transformation initiatives. Risk and Impact Assessment: Identify and articulate risks associated with retiring or replacing applications. Help create risk mitigation strategies and transition roadmaps. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain high-quality documentation, including detailed application maps, dependency diagrams, impact assessments, and stakeholder inputs, executive-ready reporting to support decision-making

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar strategic IT/business role. Proven experience in application landscape discovery and rationalization projects. Strong expertise in business process understanding - particularly in areas like contract management, procurement, and commercial operations. Deep understanding of enterprise applications, with specific experience working with SAP landscapes. Exceptional communication and presentation skills - must be able to interact with C-level stakeholders and lead discussions independently. Solid understanding of system interdependencies and enterprise architecture principles.
