About the Role:

We are looking for a Lead, Business Development (Advertising & Partnerships) to be based in Bangsar South. This role will be reporting to the Head of Advertising & Partnerships.

In Advertising & Partnerships team, we are disrupting the online and offline advertising space by offering a full suite of high impact and visibility solutions within our ecosystem to help our non-restaurant partners reach out to over 15M registered customers across East and West Malaysia. You will lead a Business Development team that will be responsible for the acquisition of new clients as well as lead the relationship with advertising & marketing agencies.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and targets.
  • Lead and guide a team of business development managers.
  • Plan, train and recruit talent, build a cohesive and successful team and provide active coaching, mentoring on the job.
  • Build key client relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
  • Review and report weekly/monthly sales reports.
  • Focus on revenue target setting accountability, sales strategy, and career development of the team members, liaising with other managers on medium to long-term sales planning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with a proven track record in business development roles within the advertising and marketing industry, successfully managing a team and exceeding targets.
  • Experience in advertising &/or partnership roles within e-commerce platforms would be a plus.
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing solutions & advertising.
  • A good network within the advertising and marketing agencies industry is desirable.

  • Good interpersonal and communication, organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical approach to consultative sales & building client relationships, translating product value to clients.
  • Excellent in identifying business opportunities and problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently and also work well with external parties.
  • Result oriented with ability to lead a team to meet business targets.
  • Background in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/tech environments would be an advantage.
