The Role Responsibilities
Job Role The CPBB PDW supports finance and risk projects globally in data delivery via data warehouse solutions. The team comprises data specialists, technology experts and project managers who collaborate with business stakeholders for end-to-end solution implementation. SCB seeks to hire talented data professionals with relevant experience who will be able to work in global environment from internal and external talent pool. To support the CPBB PDW team in its objectives through a mix of

  • To align project timeline to ensure project success delivery.
  • Provide support to end-to-end project deliveries.
  • Perform technical assessment, solutioning, deployment and documentation.
  • Ensures that deliverable aligned to architecture principles including golden sources and standard development guide.
Project Delivery
  • Working independently to engage developers, business analyst, project manager and escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Providing good technical subject matter expert knowledge and recommendations to balance time critical vs longer term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
  • To work together with Project Manage to lead a project for success delivery that includes managing different stakeholders like business, other technology teams and internal business analyst; Ensuring delivery is align to the timeline for each milestone.
  • Transform business requirement to technical deliverables.
  • Responsible to provide direction on solution from a standard product / architecture perspective.
  • Participate in key decision-making discussions liaising with business stakeholders.
  • Responsible to manage the change request effectively and efficiently during the project delivery with all agreed controls.
  • Align with the bank process and standards and ensure there are no deviations.
  • Develop solution using Base SAS programming in AIX and / or Mainframe platform.
  • Performing UT / SIT / UAT that includes test environment set-up / configuration, batch execution and responding to business queries and clarifications.
  • Supports project deployment activities and post implementation monitoring / support.
  • Supports production issue investigation and resolution whenever need arises.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Domain Knowledge and Technical Skills
  • Graduate degree in the area of computer science or relevant degree.
  • More than 10 years of experience in banking domain / product knowledge with IT working experience.
  • Must have good knowledge in writing complex SAS codes and SQL scripts.
  • UNIX scripts knowledge is added advantage.
  • Good domain knowledge of Retail Risk data and Basel Reporting would be ideal.
  • Knowledge management for MIS applications including business rules, mapping documents, data definitions, system functions and processes.
  • Good working knowledge of SCB application systems and business process.
  • Some working experience in technical analysis, solutions and project delivery within SCB
  • 10 years of work experience in Banking domain involving one or more of the following:
    • Data integration and data warehousing.
    • Financial and Regulatory reporting.
    • Risk Management (Credit Risk - Retail and CCIB).
  • Been in developer role supporting the above areas.
  • Good communication and Stakeholder management skills.
  • Very quick learner with strong interest in banking compliance and desire to acquire the knowledge and understanding of Retail Risk Data in the domain. Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to seek and gain consensus in a multi-cultural, cross-border and matrix reporting environment.
  • The opportunity to become the go-to person / focal person for data across the bank globally.
  • Extensive exposure to all parts of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s business model.
  • Sound base for a future career in the broader Information Technology Delivery (including analytics, business intelligence, \xe2\x80\x98big data\xe2\x80\x99 etc); the knowledge gained from this role will be invaluable in preparing individuals broader roles in the future.
