We are looking for an experienced and strategic Lead, Demand Planning to oversee the company's end-to-end planning function -- encompassing demand, supply, production, and materials. This role is critical in driving the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and ensuring alignment between business objectives, operational capacity, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, leadership capability, and cross-functional collaboration skills to optimize planning performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Planning Leadership: Lead and coordinate all aspects of demand, supply, production, and materials planning to enable seamless execution and efficient resource utilization.
S&OP Management: Drive and manage the monthly Sales & Operations Planning cycle, ensuring that demand forecasts are aligned with production capacity, inventory strategies, and supply plans.
Supply Chain Optimization: Identify potential demand and supply risks, develop proactive mitigation strategies, and implement process improvements to enhance service levels and cost efficiency.
Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing planning team through continuous coaching, capability building, and performance management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with commercial, operations, procurement, finance, and logistics teams to ensure operational plans effectively support business objectives.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key planning KPIs -- including forecast accuracy, production schedule adherence, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery -- and present actionable insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven track record in managing S&OP and integrated planning processes within a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; experience with advanced planning or forecasting tools will be an advantage.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
