Project:

• You will be working closely with the Head of Engineering in KL and be their right hand man for DevOps and Cloud related projects & champion a new DevOps culture
• They are 1 year into a much larger digital transformation project and in 2025 want to begin the migration from on-premise to cloud

Responsibilities

• Implement DevOps practices, frameworks, architecture, automation, integrations and processes
• Analyse business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for improvement
• Cloud design, strategy and planning
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployment
• Design the CI/CD pipelines for various software projects

Must Have:

• AWS (AWS Certs bonus)
• CI/CD tooling and deployment strategies
• Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Nice to have / Bonus:

• Cloud migration (on prem > Cloud)
• Setting up a DevOps function from scratch
• IaC / Terraform / Ansible

Team / Culture:

• HO Engineering has 10+ years fintech experience
• Work with little supervision and contribute ideas / expertise and take ownership
• Work closely with the existing engineers (KL & SG) and potentially build a team in the future

Location:

• Kuala Lumpur (hybrid working arrangement - 1 day WFH)

Level / Grade:

• This is a senior (hands-on) individual contributor role
• 5+ years recent experience in any combination of Cloud Engineer / DevOps / SRE / Cloud Architect / Infra
• Total of experience (minimum) 10-15+ years (early career may be engineering, network, systems etc)
