Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Lead Engineer, Building & HVAC who will in charge of Develop FEED level design packages for HVAC & Plumbing engineering to our client and external clients of them. Provide HVAC and Building Utility (Plumbing) Engineering support services to Mega/Global Projects and Affiliates of our client. Ensure safety, reliability and service ability of HVAC and Plumbing systems in our client plant buildings. Coach fresh Building Utilities and HVAC engineers.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering; post graduation in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is preferable.
  • 10 years or plus experience in petrochemical, oil, gas, refinery, or engineering companies with minimum 7 years in design office.
    • Large project experience over 50,000 hrs.
    • Secondment experience.
    • Multi-lines of business experience.
    • Experience in multiple project phases.
  • To be competent in several of the following areas :
    • Deep knowledge of relevant local, international codes/ standards & regulations such as ASHRAE / SMACNA/ AHRI/ ASTM / IMC/ NFPA/ PIP/ RC Standards/ SBC/ HCIS/ SHEMS and industrial practices.
    • Strong knowledge of engineering theories and principles by adding value to the business through making sound recommendations or decisions.
    • Deep knowledge on design of HVAC and Plumbing systems with hand-on experience in using international recognize software such as ELITE and HAP.
    • Experience in design of HVAC and Plumbing system of multi story buildings/ structures with knowledge in design optimization for better project economy and constructability .
    • Design of Industrial Air Conditioning Systems, Selection & Application of HVAC Equipment.
    • Knowledge in Value Engineering techniques/ practices.
    • Validate critical code/standard specific requirements during approval of vendor documents.
    • Good knowledge on preparing technical part of engineering contract packages.
    • Knowledge of design optimization.
    • Demonstrated good knowledge of LEED ratings.
    • Knowledge of interdisciplinary engineering work flow.
    • Knowledge of proposal work that includes the development of designs, work scope splits or interface definition, establishment of deliverables, IT application usage and man-hour estimates.
    • Knowledge of Development and Training needs identification for technical team.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Drawings/documents, their preparation, review and approvals.
    • Analytical approach.
    • Good interdisciplinary knowledge and capability to coordinate with multi disciplinary problems in our client projects.
    • Ability to develop good interrelation , and willingness to teach.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Language.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
    • The ability to prepare and deliver presentations to potential Clients.

Duties and responsibilities

  • To prepare technical feasibility reports and analysis and design calculations for HVAC and Plumbing necessary for FEED Engineering documents for our client Mega Projects, to support Mega/Global projects in discipline engineering review.
  • To prepare technical part of ITB document for our client Mega Projects, and carry out bid review/ evaluation.
  • To support Mega/Global projects in discipline.
  • To provide consultancy services in building mechanical utilities (HVAC, plumbing ) to our client projects, and participate in Value Engineering sessions.
  • To ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations of local authorities.
  • To optimize HVAC and Plumbing systems of the buildings for having cost effective facilities.
  • To administer, develop and update our client Engineering Standards related to HVAC and Plumbing systems for buildings .
  • To perform Technical Assurance Audit for our client Mega Projects.
  • To train subordinates and junior engineers.

If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you. 2.2 Client Face to Face interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week. If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will get back to you and schedule a face-to-face meeting in a defined location. You will be told to go to the location. The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions. If your face-to-face interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, decide, and then receive a conditional job offer. If your face-to-face interview is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you. 2.3 There could be additional video interviews with hiring managers, which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field. 3. Conditional Offer A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment. Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
