Develop technical specifications and design requirements for instrument and control systems in various engineering projects.
Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians involved in instrument and control design, installation, and commissioning.
Collaborate with other disciplines within the company, such as process, electrical, and mechanical engineers, to ensure the instrument and control systems are integrated and optimized for the overall project design.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, as well as client-specific requirements.
Participate in project planning and cost estimation, and ensure that instrument and control design work is completed within project schedules and budgets.
Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of the project, and ensure that instrument and control systems are installed and commissioned to meet design specifications.
Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications, as well as participate in design reviews and HAZOP studies.
Stay up-to-date with new technologies, methods, and industry standards related to instrument and control systems, and apply this knowledge to improve project design and delivery.
Maintain effective communication with clients, project stakeholders, and team members, and provide technical advice and solutions to project challenges.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or a related field.
8 to 10 years of experience in instrument and control design and engineering, with at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of instrument and control systems, including control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and PLC/DCS systems.
Experience in collaborating with other engineering disciplines, such as process, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to instrument and control systems.
Experience in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, project stakeholders, and team members.
Proficiency in software tools commonly used in instrument and control engineering, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, MATLAB/Simulink, and DCS/PLC programming software.
