Job Summary

As a Lead Engineer, you will oversee and coordinate engineering activities, ensuring the successful development, execution, and delivery of metal parts projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, liaise with customers, enforce compliance with quality, safety, and ISO standards, and drive continuous improvement across product design, manufacturing processes, and work instructions. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to shape engineering strategy, mentor team members, and contribute directly to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise engineering teams for product and project execution. Oversee design, development, and optimization of metal parts. Liaise directly with customers on technical requirements and project updates. Develop, review, and enforce work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, ISO standards, and customer specifications. Conduct project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Mentor and guide junior engineers to build technical competency and teamwork. Implement process improvements, troubleshoot complex engineering challenges, and drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline. Minimum 5-7 years of engineering experience, including leadership or supervisory roles in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, stamping, and tooling processes. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and technical documentation. Proven experience in project management, work instruction creation, and compliance enforcement. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to liaise effectively with customers, internal teams, and management.

Authority & Accountability

Lead engineering decision-making for product design, project execution, and process improvements. Approve work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance. Oversee team performance and ensure alignment with corporate objectives and customer expectations.
