Q-Commerce (or Quick Commerce) is the next generation of e-commerce being pioneered by foodpanda. Traditional e-commerce revolutionised the delivery landscape through online ordering with delivery times averaging 3-5 days, but Q-Commerce aims to do even better for our customers with no queues, delivery within 30 minutes, and being always available! Finance controllership is an important arm of the overall finance team whose responsibilities extends not only on accounting aspects of processes and controls but also improving business efficiency through process optimisation and automation. In this team, you will be able to have great exposure and oversight of how the business operates across the APAC countries. You will also have the opportunity to leverage on your prior experiences and knowledge together with a start-up mindset and working culture to effect changes to the Q-commerce business consisting of the pandamart as well as the shops business. We are looking for a high calibre Lead, Finance Controlling - Q-Commerce (APAC) to join our regional team in Malaysia / Singapore. This role will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple markets and will lead financial controlling, Month-End Closing cycles, reporting and analysis, APAC region. Responsibilities: Lead a team of financial controllers and accountants across the APAC region of 11 markets Function as the main point of contact between group and local stakeholders, reviewing balance sheet & profit and loss performance, communicating change in policies and reporting guidelines as well as solving issues that are escalated to the regional team Partner with other finance stakeholders including FP&A, FinOps, Finance Transformation closely to achieve set OKRs and goals across the organisation Coordinate monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes across the region with a continuous process improvement mindset to ensure smooth report preparation, collection and submission Ensure accuracy of Key Performance Indicators and financial metrics reporting and consistency across all markets. Ensure Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Financial Management Reporting decks are prepared with a high degree of accuracy and detailed analyses Ensure cashflow is maintained and improved as the business continues to grow Compile and present financial data to evaluate business performance, and provide informed recommendations. Lead ad-hoc projects, and continually automate/streamline processes to improve business efficiency in the region. Support any tasks required by QC+NV Finance Director/CFO Requirements: University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics. CA, CIMA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification in Finance. Approx. 10-12 years in Financial Controlling/Accounting/ Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including managing teams of 10 staff. Solid understanding of e-commerce business, and experience in building and scaling regional teams in the tech / e-commerce space. Natural curiosity and a desire to understand the business, with the ability to proactively drive and influence change within the organization through excellent stakeholder management skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence across all organisation levels.
