Our Manufacturing Department in Port Klang is now looking for a Lead Technician.

What will you be doing?

• To demonstrate through example of high commitment and alignment with value of Aker Solutions Vision "A leader in forging a sustainable future for our industry and the world it serves", through: HSSE Mindset Customer Drive Hands-on Management Delivering Quality Results Open and Direct Dialogue People and Teams
• To check and ensure the work place and working method is safe to work.
• To work in a safe manner and comply with Life-Savings Rule and STOP WORK process per risk assessment and HSSE requirement.
• To ensure marking, cutting, bevel preparation and fit up activities for steel structure and piping as per HSSE and quality requirement. To educate Tech Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Hired-In.
• To ensure measurement tools such as measuring tape, L-square, water level, theodolite, plumb etc are calibrated and properly managed. To educate Tech Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Hired-In.
• To ensure all types of grinders in safe manner base on type of work. To educate Tech Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Hired-In.
• To perform dimension check during fit up stage and after welding. To check on welding distortion and to educate Tech Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Hired-In.
• Well verse and good experience in using LP Gas for pre-heating and Acetylene & Oxygen for cutting activities. Able to educate and monitor tech 1, 2, 3 and Hired-In
• To ensure right tools and equipment are in good condition and to be used for right job.
• Continually improve performance using lean techniques including adherence to 5S
• Well verse with KPI's and performance metrics driving adherence to target
• To involve in RCA discussion

We think you should have:

Qualification

• SPM/Certificate in any technical discipline.
• Well versed in mathematics.
• Well versed and high knowledge and experience in marking, cutting, grinding and fit up activities for both steel structure and piping.

Experience

• More than 5 years working experience.
