JOB PURPOSE

Job based at Dubai

Mercury engine certifications/background only.

Responsible for overseeing and performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on both outboard and inboard motors. He will lead a team of technicians, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of his team and delivering high-quality service to customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Should have extensive knowledge and experience working with marine engines.

2. Responsible for identifying and resolving problems with outboard or inboards engines. Strong diagnostic skills, including the ability to use specialized tools and equipment, will help you pinpoint issues accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with Mercury diagnose tools and procedure.

3. Perform repairs and routine maintenance tasks and conducting inspections. Your expertise should cover both mechanical

/electrical

components of outboard

and inboards Mercury Motors.

4. Supervise a team of technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring quality work.

5. Leadership skills, including communication and problem-solving abilities, are essential to effectively manage and motivate your team.

6. Keeping accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used is crucial. Need to maintain service reports, document completed tasks, and provide reports to management or customers as required.

7. Should prioritize safety protocols and ensure that your team follows all relevant safety guidelines. This includes proper handling of tools and equipment, adhering to environmental regulations, and promoting a safe working environment.

8. Interacting with customers, understanding their concerns, and providing excellent service is important. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will help you address customer inquiries, explain repair processes, and offer recommendations for optimal performance.

9. The marine industry is constantly evolving, and new technologies emerge regularly. Staying updated with the latest advancements, attending training sessions, and pursuing additional certifications will help you enhance your skills and expertise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in marine mechanics or a related field is preferred.

2. Proven experience as a marine technician, with expertise in both outboard and inboard engines.

3. In-depth knowledge of engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and propulsion systems.

4. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

5. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and team members.

7. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

8. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

9. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repairs in various weather conditions and confined spaces.

10. Adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM11,900.00 - RM15,407.00 per month
