Our Performance & Transformation department in Port Klang, Malaysia is now looking for a Lean CI Senior Specialist.

What will you be doing?

• Develop and drive continuous improvement in Aker Solutions for the APAC Subsea Business Stream
• Regional responsibilities for the Continuous Improvements/Lean activities for APAC Subsea
• Head APAC lean office and drive all functions in the region towards world class in Lean Maturity Assessment
• Focal point in APAC to communicate with global team in Lean direction and continuous improvement
• Drive and support all strategic initiatives and improvement activities to achieve business objectives
• Facilitate senior leadership team in balance score card /KPI review, strategy, and continuous Improvement workshop; deployed tools and techniques to develop the ability to identify, exploit opportunities & mitigate threats
• Assist BU leaders to identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities and to accelerate action against these priorities through strategic and long-range business planning, performance management and operational excellence
• Translate broader strategy into a convincing team goal, to align the team and sets priorities to achieve business objectives
• Engage and inspire APAC employees to recognize process improvement opportunities and actively participate in the realization / validation of their suggestions utilizing the appropriate Lean
• In alignment with Aker Solutions framework, support and implement key actions and indicators to drive change to implement a sustainable empowerment culture with focus on quality and continuous improvement
• Support continuous culture building process across all levels of the organization
• Capture learnings and share best practices across locations
• Oversight and leadership of any remediation plans/Performance improvement plans in areas where objectives may not be met
• To demonstrate through example of high commitment and alignment with value of Aker Solutions -Safeguarders, Solutioners, Changemakers and Co-creators

We think you should have:

Qualification and experience

• Minimum a degree in Manufacturing /Mechanical or equivalent
• At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing environment or project management
• Well versed in Lean Six Sigma methodology, Business Process Improvement, and management approaches
• Certified in PMP / Agile Project Management (Preferable)
• Experience following through to achieve strategic goals
• Evidence of leading significant successful cultural programs of transformational change

• Leadership skills with strong ability to motive teams
• Strong communicator and strong communication skills
• Proven skills in successfully driving change processes
• Added advantage to have proven skills to accompany continuous learning - coaching, workshops, involving the organization, connecting initiatives
• Proven skills to work across all levels of the organization (Production, office, leaders)
• Added advantage to having experience to translate initiatives to the different levels and environments in the organization
