About the job The Leasing Department Manager (Shopping Centre) will, together with her/his team, implement the Ikano Centres long term leasing strategy by building a stable and profitable leasing business across the Malaysian portfolio with well-defined processes that are consistent and make us the preferred landlord for all our existing and new tenants. Your assignment

• Overall responsible for the running of the Ikano Centres\xe2\x80\x99 Leasing Department in Malaysia and to secure the best possible tenants on the optimum commercial terms.
• Develop tenant mix and positioning for all shopping centre projects, rental strategies.
• Develop a regional network of tenants and business partners & ensuring strong relationships are build and maintained.
• Analysis and leads the Leasing department performance to secure profitable and sustainable leasing structure.
• Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop five-year business plans for each Centre.
• Constantly improving the Leasing SOPs, meet timelines and conduct regular reporting of leasing new & renewal status on shopping centres.
• Perform and use market research, competitor studies & retailer knowledge to create added value and opportunities to stay ahead of competition.
• Coach and develop leasing staff to create a strong local team with international growth perspectives.
• Challenge current ways and innovate in order to be ahead of the market and create relevant offer for our consumers.

Qualification
Your profile

• You have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Leasing within a shopping centre environment, of which 5 years in a Manager position.
• Proven abilities to lead, motivate and bring out the best in co-workers and to motivate and develop a team.
• An ambassador of the IKEA Values.
• High ability to influence, convince, impress stakeholders and business partners in a way that results in acceptance, agreement and behaviour change.
• High ability to analyse issues and provide rational judgements.
• You have a better understanding of commercial conditions in retail.
• Highly independent, multi-tasking and able to work under pressure and get the best deals available.
• You have solid communication and organizational skills.
• You are a team player, proactive and service oriented.
