As part of the rapidly expanding provision in the Arts, School of Arts at Sunway University is looking to appoint one full-time staff member in contemporary music/ audio technology. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team of specialists and work in a progressive and interdisciplinary academic environment.
We seek candidates especially strong in recording, audio production, mixing, sound design, and other areas related to contemporary music for one available position. You will be required to teach audio production, recording techniques, arrangement, and composition modules while actively developing audio technology and contemporary music activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for various duties, including teaching and administration, research, and professional practice.
Requirements and expectations:
- Minimum a Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and a strong record of professional practice. Candidates with a PhD or discipline-related doctorate will be viewed favourably.
- Experience in teaching in Higher Education and possess extensive subject knowledge.
- An established audio engineer, producer, composer, or performer.
- Excellence in teaching, research/creative activity, and service.
- Familiar with contemporary pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to engage, motivate, and guide students.
- A proven ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds will be an asset.
