Job Description


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Undertake teaching, research, scholarly activities and academic development.
  • Establish and maintain links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities.
  • Design, plan and deliver learning in creative and innovative ways appropriate to the subject disciplines.
  • Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
  • Prepare and mark examinations, assignments and other assessments.
  • Participate in the administration of the programmes of study and other activities in the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students.

Requirements
  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Management, Pastry and Baking or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience
  • Strong interest in teaching and be involved in scholarly activities
  • Committed to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students
  • Committed to participate in continuous professional development activities
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact well with students and faculty members
  • Excellent computer literacy with ability to integrate technology into the learning environment and teaching methodology.
