We are currently looking for a talented, energetic and ambitious person to fill the following position: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering The successful applicant is expected to make a significant contribution to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering\'s teaching and research strengths based on his/her expertise. Responsibilities : Responsible for the organization and delivery of teaching materials and assessment plans Conduct undergraduate teaching and postgraduate supervision Conduct lectures, lab demonstrations and tutorials Responsible for coordination and management of units Conduct quality research, attract competitive research grants Provide timely feedback and academic counseling to students Participate in staff developement activities and plays an active role in service and leadership Selection Criteria: A doctorate qualification in Electrical Power Engineering.Applicants with professional qualification such as Charted Engineer (CEng)and/or Professional Engineer (PEng) is highly preferred. Experience of university teaching andsupervision of postgraduate (Master and PhD) students. Evidence of personal research achievement withrecent refereed publications in the field of Electrical Power Engineering. Ability to develop proposals for researchfunding, to design research projects and to lead and develop a researchteam. A consistent record of excellence in research. Experience of working with corporate orgovernment stakeholders. Ability to work in collaboration with colleagues, willingness to play an active role in service and leadership in the department, faculty and/or at university level as appropriate to the level of appointment. Proven evidence of effective leadership. Excellent communication and presentationskills. Ability and willingness to participate ininterdisciplinary teaching as required by the Faculty. The appointment will be made at a level appropriate to the successful applicant\'s academic qualifications, publications history, records of excellence in research, records of attracting external research funding, teaching experience, industrial collaboration and evidence of effective leadership.
