Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• Bar membership is optional but an advantage.
• Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English. Mandarin is an advantage.
• Strong interest in intellectual property law.
• Willing to learn and committed to a long-term role.
• Professional and reliable, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to our Advisory team.
• Comfortable with basic spreadsheets and modern digital tools.

Responsibilities
About the Role
Legal Operations supports our Advisory team with legal strategy, procedural guidance, and accurate document preparation. This role focuses on internal legal support rather than direct client advisory. You shall maintain updated knowledge of IP law and MyIPO practice so that our Advisors can deliver precise and consistent guidance to clients.
Responsibilities

• Provide legal strategy, analysis, and procedural advice to our Advisory team.
• Prepare legal documents including letters, written submissions, declarations, and filing forms.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all filings and documentation.
• Liaise with MyIPO and other Government agencies in Malaysia.
• Attend ex parte hearings at MyIPO when required.
• Review and prepare settlement related documents for negotiations.
• Draft and vet commercial contracts and agreements.
• Draft legal opinions, internal notes, and articles.
• Conduct legal research and provide updates on changes in IP law and procedure.
• Maintain accurate records and support internal tracking systems.
