This Swiss headquartered MNC, provider of sustainable, innovative, and versatile packaging solutions, is seeking a Legal and Compliance Counsel - SEA/APAC to enhance the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s legal structure amidst expanding business activities. About the Legal and Compliance Counsel - SEA/APAC Role:
In this position, you will provide legal and compliance support to all functions and subsidiaries across the Asia-Pacific South region and lead or support strategic and/or complex projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Drive integration of new business lines in the region with respect to chilled, spouted pouch, and bag-in-box packaging products
• Establish new harmonised and digitalised policies and tools with respect to contract life cycle management and coordinating other strategic functions (commercial, finance, etc.)
• Establish modern ways of working between departments and internal customers, and generally ensure that a consistent and harmonised legal support is providing across all business lines
• Build up a strong and embedded Ethics and Compliance (E&C) culture through the engagement of the regional senior management team and deployment of new E&C initiatives
• Autonomously draft and review contracts (including contracts with customers and vendors), and other key legal documentation, to support all functions and business lines of the company across the Asia-Pacific South region
• Manage all corporate and governance matters of the company subsidiaries across the region, and ensure the coordination and supervision of external corporate secretary firms
• Support claim management and manage litigation, including the selection of and coordination with external law firms
• Provide advice, training and conduct investigation in relation to ethics and compliance matters across the region
• Monitor the development of laws and regulations in the region

To succeed in this Legal and Compliance Counsel - SEA/APAC role, you will need to be a self-starter with confidence and comfort in decision making and managing people with different stakes, one who has a robust personality, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with all levels within the organisation. Key Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in law (masters degree in Law is also preferred)
• Admitted to the Bar in Asia-Pacific, in a common law jurisdiction.
• Business fluency in both verbal and written English and Malay/Bahasa
• Minimum of 10 years\' PQE in a law firm or company (with a preference for a mixed of experience in law firm and in-house in the manufacturing industry) with a regional exposure and track-records in both legal and compliance matters
