Responsibilities

Provide broad legal support for business activities across Southeast Asia, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legal documentation


Advise and lead on day-to-day legal matters affecting the business


Support and champion compliance with internal policies, external laws, and statutory requirements


Prepare, maintain, and update precedent legal documentation


Monitor legislation and regulatory developments relevant to the company's operations and products


Interpret regulations and policies and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders


Identify opportunities to enhance legal frameworks and promote consistency in legal approaches across the organisation

Requirements

Qualified lawyer based in Malaysia with 5-10 years' post-qualification experience from a reputable law firm


Strong exposure to corporate and commercial matters; experience in technology, data protection, and regulatory issues is advantageous


Prior in-house and regional experience is highly desirable


Strong technical skills and solid understanding of corporate law


Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment


Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commercial acumen


Hard-working, proactive, and motivated individual capable of managing multiple stakeholders and projects


Strong interpersonal and communication skills
