- Lead legal support on cross-product coverage for lending, credit technology, liquidity management technology and other related financing products.
- Working closely with compliance team to ensure regulatory and compliance risks are properly managed.
- Working closely with legal experts from various jurisdictions and multiple disciplines, including financial regulatory, data privacy, intellectual property, tax, etc.
- Supporting the internal review and approval processes for new strategic initiatives.
- Managing external legal counsel as needed in an effective and efficient manner.
- Escalating issues, as appropriate, and partnering collaboratively with other team members to support the business.Requirements- Bachelor or above degree in law from England, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia or similar common law jurisdiction.
- 5 to 10 years PQE (post qualification experience).
- Must have substantial experience in banking and financial services.
- Preferred: top-tiered international law firm training and substantial inhouse experience in banking or other financial regulatory businesses; proficient in Mandarin (both spoken and written).
- Strong regulatory/compliance knowledge and skills in relation to banking sector.
- Excellent technical, drafting, negotiation and analytical skills coupled with practical commercial acumen.
- Must be a team-player, highly motivated self-starter and eager learner with excellent project management skills.
- Demonstrable advocacy and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to influence different business functions.
