Job Summary

Our Penang office is seeking a

Lead, Legal Counsel

to shape legal strategy, oversee key commercial agreements, support compliance and M&A activities, and provide cross-functional legal guidance to safeguard business integrity and ensure regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

Draft, review, negotiate, and provide legal advice on strategic agreements in Singapore and Malaysia, including customer, distribution, supply, construction, and lease agreements, as well as other business-related legal documents. Advise and support the organization on

Mergers & Acquisitions

activities. Partner with

HR, Operations, and EHS teams

to provide legal counsel on workforce and operational matters. Manage local litigation cases and assist with dispute resolution. Contribute to the

global compliance program

by conducting training sessions and leading internal compliance investigations. Monitor significant legal and regulatory developments and promptly update management and the corporate legal team. Collaborate closely with the

global Law Department

to support Entegris' international operations. Enhance departmental efficiency by improving legal processes and service delivery to global stakeholders. Oversee

company secretarial matters

for the group's legal entities. Deliver legal training to business units, including best practices on

intellectual property (IP) protection

.

Job Requirements

Minimum

7-10 years' experience

in a law firm and/or corporate legal department. Experience in organizations with

manufacturing operations in the semiconductor or technology industry

is preferred. Licensed to practice law in

Malaysia, Singapore, or the United States

. Strong command of

English

, with exceptional drafting and negotiation skills in commercial matters. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise effectively. Proactive, dedicated, and team-oriented with strong business acumen. Ability to thrive in a

fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
