Job Description

This role is for an experienced Legal Counsel in the industrial/manufacturing industry who will provide legal guidance to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. The position requires strong expertise in corporate law and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Provide legal advice and support on corporate and commercial matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to safeguard the organization's interests.
• Support and advise on Mergers & Acquisitions
• Assist in managing disputes, including liaising with external counsel when necessary.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all legal agreements and contracts.
• Conduct legal research and keep the organization updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.
• Develop and deliver training to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.
• Provide risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for business operations.
• Support the Legal department in implementing corporate governance policies and procedures.

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

• A recognized degree in Law from an accredited institution.
• 7 years PQE and above
• Proven expertise in corporate law, contracts, and compliance within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to address legal risks effectively.
