Provide legal advice and guidance to management and other departments on various legal issues including contracts, compliance, and risk management.
Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they are legally sound and protect the company's interests.
Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including corporate governance, labor laws, and industry-specific regulations.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate legal risks.
Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts with clients, vendors, and partners.
Monitor and manage contract performance and address any issues or disputes that arise.
Manage and resolve legal disputes and litigation, including working with external legal counsel when necessary.
Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and legal proceedings.
Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that could impact the company.
Provide recommendations based on legal research to inform decision-making processes.
Identify and assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Implement and oversee risk management policies and procedures.
Supervise and manage the legal team, including providing guidance and training to junior legal staff.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
Prepare and present reports on legal matters, compliance issues, and risk management to senior management and the board of directors.
Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documentation.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree In Law (LL.B), a Master's in Law (LL.M) or relevant certification.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
At least 5-10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Candidate must have driving license (D).
